Space Coast Early Intervention Center (SCEIC)

Hidden Potentials

Hidden Potentials is a non-profit tutoring company helping students in Brevard County excel in school. They also provide caregiving for adults and children with special needs through the Medicaid and Medicaid Waiver Program which includes respite, personal supports and personal care assistance. Government Services/Funding

Agency for Persons with Disabilities iBudget (Medicaid) Waiver

The iBudget waiver is designed to make the funding process fair and equitable for all Medicaid recipients on the Developmental Disabilities waivers. It provides more opportunities for recipients to direct their own care, choosing services that matter most for their unique circumstances and flexibility to respond to changing needs. To qualify, the person must have one of the following six developmental disabilities: autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, spina bifida or children age 3-5 who are at a high risk of a developmental disability. Consumer Directed Care Plus (CDC +)

CDC+ is an alternative Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Medicaid Waiver for persons enrolled to self-direct their waiver services. The program provides the opportunity for individuals to improve the quality of their lives by being empowered to make choices about the supports and services that will meet their needs and to help them reach their goals independently. Children Medical Services (CMS)

CMS is a managed care system for eligible children with special needs. Each one of our programs and services are family-centered and designed to help children with a variety of conditions and needs. For more information click Here.

Space Coast Early Steps

Early Steps is a CMS program that offers early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) with significant delays or a condition that places them at risk of developmental delay. To be enrolled in Early Steps, the child must first be found eligible through a thorough assessment of your child’s skills and abilities, in the following areas: physical, cognitive, gross and fine motor skills, communication, social, emotional, and self-help skills.  Contact Early Steps at (800) 654-1400 for more information.

Dynamic Orthopedics

Dynamic Orthopedics provides prosthetics, orthotics, serial casting and soft goods to children suffering from Developmental Delay and Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Scoliosis, Amputation, contractures or other ailment that is interfering with their mobility or causing discomfort. Their main office is in Davie Florida, but they travel to Ability Plus Therapy once a month to serve children in Brevard County. Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment (HBOT)

Many families have seen great benefits of HBOT in conjunction with intensive suit therapy. To meet the needs of our patients, Ability Plus Therapy has been working with Creation’s Own, owned by Dr. Dan Rossignol, MD. Creation’s Own has the mission to meet the biological, behavioral and nutritional needs of developmentally disabled children. They are located 2 minutes from Ability Plus Therapy at: 3800 W. Eau Gallie Blvd., Suite 105, Melbourne, FL 32940. If you would like to schedule an HBOT session at Creation’s Own, call (321) 259-7111. Please be sure to mention if you are combining it with intensive therapy to receive their special 40 visit package.

Harmony Farms

Harmony Farms is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for disabled individuals through interaction with horses. We are a member center of the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) and are located in the town of Rockledge in East Central Florida. The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project

The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project is a national, community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is to provide support to parents/caregivers and act as a reference source for information, financial resources, used equipment exchanges, research and clinical studies, support groups, web links, etc.  Click Here for details.

Wheelchairs 4 Kids

Wheelchairs 4 Kids provides wheelchairs, home and vehicle modifications as well as other assistive and therapeutic devices for children under the age of 21 years who have limited mobility due to illness, accident or abuse.  If you have equipment needs, click Here or talk to your therapist for referral.

Make A Wish

Angels Bridging Gaps

Angels Bridging Gaps is an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Support Organization based in Palm Bay Florida. They are dedicated to educating parents about local resources, building community partnerships, in addition to creating social/recreation opportunities for our special needs community. Autism Society of America (ASA)

ASA promotes lifelong access and opportunity for all individuals within the autism spectrum, and their families, to be fully participating, included members of the community. Education, advocacy, public awareness efforts and the promotion of research are all goals of ASA. The society is the leading source of information and referral on autism to parents, professionals, and members of the general public. Nathaniel’s Hope

Nathaniel’s Hope is a nonprofit organization in Central Florida. It is dedicated to sharing hope with kids with special needs (VIP kids) and their families. It includes bringing hope and resources of encouragement to VIP kids and their families, providing practical assistance by offering free respite care for VIP kids, educating the community on how to be a Buddy to VIP kids and their families, equipping the community, especially churches, with opportunities, tools, training, and resources to reach out to VIP kids and their families, extending hope to VIP kids overseas, and sharing hope with grieving families. Family Retreats

Deliver the Dream

Deliver the Dream is a not-for-profit organization founded by Pat Moran, past chairman of JM Family Enterprises, Inc. and one of South Florida’s top business women. After many years of seeing families struggle to stay together as they coped with crisis, Pat dreamed of a program that would allow families facing illness or crisis to alleviate stress, enhance coping skills and enjoy being together again as a family. In 2002, her realization came true when Deliver the Dream held it’s first retreat for families who have a parent with cancer. U Can Ski 2

U Can Ski 2 is based in Winter Haven, Florida and we provide adaptive water ski events for children and adults with various disabilities including our Wounded Warriors.
